Collar in Progress

One of my favourite collars in LaceCrochetFinds is the Daisy collar necklace. It is rather complicated in crocheting because it consists of small attached details. Firstly you need to do a yellow centre, then crochet white petals to it, and only after that, you can attach petals to another flower. Of course, there is a possibility to crochet flowers separately and then sew them together, but I prefer to add them during crocheting. So, all you need is to count, count, and count!

Lavender Bookmarks

There are some different crochet bookmarks in CrochetCabinetCrafts. The last one I created is Lavender. Gentle and tiny, it reminds me that I need to visit France, where I wasn’t at all. We planned to go to Provence just before the pandemia began. However, it is still in our plans. One of these Lavender bookmarks goes to USA, Bloomington, MN and the second one goes to Paris as a gift for my second-time customer. I hope they’ll like their bookmarks 🙂

And here are some other types of bookmarks in the shop.

Process

In my third LaceCrochetFinds shop, I sell lace collars crocheted in the Victorian lace style. I recently received an order, which I’m going to take a long time to make because it is something new. The order has a story. My potential customer wants me to make her a high neck collar like the one I have in the shop, but she also needs cuffs to go with it. She sent me a photo of the blouse she wants to sew these cuffs on. I was shocked because it is an Irish crochet blouse, and judging by its look and style, it is vintage. I can’t ruin a thing like that. So I changed the crochet hook to a thinner one; trying to crochet something the same style. I’m curious to see what I can do with it. Now my experiment looks like this.

Shipping

Wow! Today morning I sent two orders to the USA, and one of them was to Hawaii for the first time. Mari purchased white and yellow Daffodils and flowers garlands from me. I always check the address customers give me at their orders just in to avoid mistakes. This time I checked the address because I have never sent something to the HI state. Thank you, Mari, for adding a new point to my sales map. By the way, the second order was to Harwood, MD. Julia bought white Daffodils garland from me.

In general, I am highly suspicious about the weather in the USA, especially around New York. Lots of my orders are in the customs clearing in New York or on their way to it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that nobody gets hurt during this snowstorm and my orders reach the customers.

Clover Garland

A four-leaf clover garland is on its way to Texas now. I crocheted this good luck charms bunting last year, and nobody noticed it on Etsy at all. This year I sold the garland for the second time, and I am happy that my idea was not a waste of time. As St Patrick’s Day is on March 17, there is the highest time to think about buying home decorations from Europe. Irish style lovers are welcome at our shop!

Shipping and Boxes

A big part of my hobby is buying boxes. I always look around for nice little boxes, flat and high. I usually send to my customers crocheted poppies in a flat pack and Campanula Bluebell bookmark in a high one. Today I managed to find such a beautiful box, and tomorrow the bookmark will fly to France. What a pity – it was only one of this type, so the hunt for boxes will continue.

New Garland

A new garland was crocheted as per my customer’s from the USA wishes. The bunting is composed of daffodils, but this time of white and yellow ones. When buying, you have to choose the number of white and yellow flowers; and this garland will decorate your home, bringing back spring. Thank you, Kimberly, for the idea!
