One of the most popular cross stitch patterns at StitchersLand is Blue Hydrangea. We decided to create a Pink Hydrangea chart to see why the first one was so popular – because it is Hydrangea or because of its blue colour? I’ll inform you when I know the answer 🙂 This magnificent Pink flower is called Miss Saori Hydrangea. It even was named as Plant of the Year at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show at 2014. By the way, which one do you prefer – Blue or Pink?
Our new Zodiak sign from Slavic Horoscope series is a Cockchafer. A cockchafer is a type of large, flying beetle that can be quite noisy. The cockchafer is sometimes called a ‘doodle-bug’ or May bug, although it is, in fact, a beetle.
It is said, that no one has ever experienced such a dramatic change in their life as Cockchafer. When a worm digs in the ground and gnaws roots, it’s sure to be like this for life. When it turns into a puppet and freezes in great peace, it exclaims in the insight: “What a fool I used to be!”, implying that now it has finally understood how to live, now knows how to live, now will live only so …
But the time comes and the cocoon breaks, the young Beetle crawls out of the ground, spreads its wings. Maybugs more than anyone is tormented by the fact that you can’t explain to your children how they will live, because they won’t believe you. In general, you can not explain to anyone how to live to be able to turn into the True-Wings.
In the work, Cockchafer easily reaches any height, if he is not taken from the easy path of his career more complex search for truth, philosophical or religious trails, the search for moral and ethical ways to the right life.
There are some series of cross stitch patterns at our shop, for example, Seasonal Mice, Small Birds or Slavic Horoscope charts. A few days ago Angelfish series join them. We have four patterns in this series so far: Abe’s Angelfish, Tiger Angelfish, Banded Angelfish often called Bandit and the last one – Bicolor Angelfish. There is a new counted cross stitch pattern at our Etsy shop: Dandelion Wine. A picture, cross-stitched by this chart can be a reminder of a warm summer spent in a wonderful place with a loved one or good friends. To me, the title of this pattern reminds one of my favourite books “Dandelion Wine” by Ray Bradbury, who once wrote: “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. (Fahrenheit 451″). This quote has guided me all my life.
The last part of Woodland Sal by Durene Jones pattern, organised by Lakesideneedlcraft is ready and it was sweet Hedgehog 🦔. There are two pictures in order to show how backstitch brings stitching to life.

Listening to the birds singing outside the window, I remembered that we have a lot of little birds cross stitch patterns for every season and a few days ago we added one more – colourful Hoopoe, which is the national bird of Israel.
I’d like to add some more small birds cross stitch charts. You can see here a bird for stitching for every season like spring or winter, autumn or summer.
One more part of Durene Jones Woodland Sal is ready and there is a Fox, beautiful ginger Fox. What the next part will be? We’re all trying to guess, and we’re not doing it very well. All we have to do is wait…
Garden Sal by Durene Jones freebie pattern is ready now. I enjoyed every stitch as always, stitching Durene’s project. There is a birdhouse, a lot of birds and butterflies here. What is more, a bee, a hive and lots of flowers, hare and hedgehog, a garden gnome and mushroom…and a lot of sweet details. I used DMC thread by Durene’s key and Murano beige evenweave 32 count.
