Christmas Stocking

Christmas gift delivered on time, so I can boast about it. My best and most complicated 2020 year stitching – Dimensions Gold Collection Santa’s Journey Stocking, designed by Peggy Abrams. This was my first Dimensions, I bought the kit on https://www.123stitch.com/ , waited a month before it reached me and stitched it in two months. The kit contains presorted thread, metalic thread, wool yarn , 18 count white Aida, felt, beads, needles (one for stitching and one for beading), and instructions with an alphabet. What is it worth buying an original set for? “What makes a Gold Collection design so special? – An extensive colour palette, stitches (and half stitches) that create texture and depth, and exquisite detail are all hallmarks of the Gold Collection. You create a work of art, and heirloom to enjoy for generations to come.”

Koniaków Lace

Visiting the Polish mountains for the first time, I came to the village of Koniaków in Beskid ÅšlÄ…ski mountain range in Silesian, southern Poland. The village is primarily known for its tradition of intricate lace-making, which is more than 150 years old. Koniaków laces are handmade by crocheting cotton thread, using motifs inspired by nature. Lace motifs are worked separately, then connected to form larger pieces. The lace additions began appearing in pillows, shirts, blouses, and tablecloths around 1900 and is still exists today. I visited the Museum of Koniaków Lace then and bought this increadible serviette, because I’m an addicted crocheter interested in various lace crocheting techniques. I think, this serviette will be the best decoration in my house this Christmas.

Christmas Decorations

After completed my biggest and most difficult stitching, I decided to finish some of the projects, I’ve started and put in a drawer, and it turned out, that I have a lot of them. So, the first I’ve finished today is Christmas hanging decor from Orchidea Kit. This Kit contains plastic canvas, presorted MC thread, white-black chart and a needle. Two pictures from this Kit were completed earlier and they are in Newcastle, with my daughter. The last two will be here, in Warsaw, with me. So, I’d like to present you pictures of the Kit itself, the process and completed decoration:

This Decoration is 12 cm x 8,5 cm / 4,7 in x 3,1 in and can be used as a Christmas Tree or wall hanging decoration, as a bookmark, even for a Christmas card making or as Christmas Gift Tag, and in many other ways, I believe.
