Embroidery Workshop

There was a beautiful sunny day on Sunday here, in Warsaw, and we had the impression that the summer had come back. It is an unexpected pleasure to get such a gift from nature in October. What’s more, I signed up for the workshop with Michalina Mruczek on this day, so the day was going to be wonderful. Michalina’s embroidery I admire on Instagram for a long time. The workshops took place in the centre of Warsaw, in Nowy Swiat street, in Zaradne, where I felt like at home. Coffee, tea, meringue – all this creates a very friendly workshop atmosphere. At the start, we got from Michalina Belfast linen fabric, a hoop, 3 needles, Instruction with examples of stitches, patterns for embroidery, mouline Anchor and hand-dyed mouline from Kasia Michalina explains all the secrets of embroidery very precisely and still shows everyone exactly how and what to do. My work – in pictures.

Here you can see how our class looked like before the workshops and pay attention – on the table are beautiful Michalina’s works!  As I wrote in one of the previous posts, I have a kit from Michalina and I am going to use it! So, wait for the result 🙂

Christmas Stars

Christmas is coming and there is a new supply for home decoration, gifts tags, Christmas table or Christmas tree decorations in our shop. The stars are Crocheted from 100% mercerized cotton in typical Christmas colours: white, red, and green.

Crowntail Betta Fish

A new counted cross stitch pattern at the shop and this is Crowntail Betta Fish or simply known as Betta is a popular species of freshwater fish. It is also known as the Siamese fighting fish or the Betta spenders. The ancestors of this fish are believed to be native to the rice paddies of Thailand and Cambodia. This colorful fish is very much in demand because of their beautiful structure and moreover, they are easy to breed. However, if you don’t have or can’t have an aquarium at home and take care of this beautiful fish, you can cross stitch it and watch on the picture every day. This is the third chart of the fish in our shop and we hope not the last one.

Pullman Orient Express Rose

We have a new counted cross stitch pattern at the shop, dedicated to rose lovers and this is a beautiful Pullman Orient Express Rose – a large-flowered rose with incredibly wonderful flowers. Their yellow-pink colour and very large size make them eye-catching from afar. This rose’s charm is complemented by a fruity, sweet fragrance and beautiful, thick, dark green, glossy leaves.

Daisy Bunting

Daisy flower can symbolize different things to different people. Typically, a daisy is a symbol of innocence or peace. It can also be a symbol of sisterhood, love, and purity. Daisy can be made to symbolize whatever you want it to by changing the colors and the shape of the flower. Obviously, white is the color that generally symbolizes purity or innocence. Daisies are definitely my favorite flowers in crocheting, so a new daisy bunting was created some time ago from 100% mercerized cotton. This garland can be used as a table, wall, entrance to a building decoration, with this garland, as a children’s room or wedding party decor – the use of this garland depends only on your imagination.

New Hobby – Embroidery

Last week I ordered this beautiful kit for embroidery from Michalina Mruczek. For a long time, I’ve been thinking that I should try a new way of embroidery. But thoughts like” I can’t do anything”, “I’m not as talented as others”, “I can’t draw, how can I draw with a needle and thread” etc. distress me all the time. But apparently, there was a moment when you had to make a decision. So when I saw on Michalina’s Instagram this kit with embroidery instruction, I ordered it and now it is in front of me – tastefully packed in an eco-friendly box and paper. The kit contains 5″ embroidery Hoop and cardboard bottom for it, Mark & Erase pen, linen fabric, 5 colours hand-dyed mouline, a needle, very detailed instruction and coloured picture of completed embroidery. I’m leaving for London next week, and after I get back, I’m gonna try my hand at it. Wish me luck!
